Merchant is shot in Temple area a suspect arrested
Tom Mullins a well known farmer and refreshment stand operator at Midway between Temple and Belton was shot three times this afternoon about four oclock and wounded fatally. William Harding an employee of the Bell County Experiment Station and former guest at Mullins home was arrested as he left an interurban car in Temple and taken to Belton jail. A son of Mullins who witnessed the scene did not know his father was hurt until pursued by the assailant. The store was deserted except Mullins.
