B Boedeker presented a large 11 inch circumference apple grown in Cameron to the Herald editor. Boedeker has tested apples for years and reports good success with the first rate fruit comparing well to Washington State varieties. He raised many apples this year.

Milam Music Co Plants Frigidaire Deal for Territory

The Milam Music Company announced a contract to handle Frigidaire units for the region. A new model will be displayed in the Cameron Theatre lobby during a three day cooking school opening next Wednesday. Frigidaire is used exclusively in the film Star in My Kitchen. The company also handles RCA radios and supplies, with Dwight Moody directing sales.

The meeting featured talks by Kho S Graham and H C Howard among others as 1980 models were viewed signaling optimism. Deliveries to the public begin October 28 with in stock new models to display October 22 in Cameron.

A family reunion and dinner at Corinth brought together Mr. and Mrs Frits Glaser and all their children and families. Attendees included Johnnie Glaser of Cameron Doris Nell and Gloria Ann and Frances Glaser of Yarrellton Arnold Jungmann and family Doris Nell and Gloria Ann Franks of Yarrellton Albert Willie and new groom from Longview Arnold Glaser and family of Rogers Joe and Willie Glaser at home. The group shared a home cooked dinner then men gathered pecans while the women chatted and enjoyed the afternoon.

Halle Carnival At Maysfield School

A Halloween carnival will be held at Maysfield schoolhouse on Tuesday night October 25 1934. A Negro minstrel show games and prizes refreshments and fun for all with no admission charge. Proceeds benefit the school and all are invited to attend and participate.

Milam County Court Rejects Prohibition Election Petition

A petition by 304 voters to forbid the sale of liquor, wine and beer in Milam County was denied in a special session. The court failed to reach agreement and declined to authorize the election. Proponents could not be reached for comment.
