Lt. Dennis Z. Kubecka United States Army Air Corps is commissioned a combat pilot at Eagle Pass Army Air Field and expected home on a furlough soon. He is 19, from Cameron, son of Mrs. D. J. Kubecka and brother of Christine and Dorothy. He attended Yee High School class of 1942 and joined the army in 1945. Col. Bundy praised the cadets of the nineteenth class and urged use of training to outfight the enemy.

Little River Levee Repairs Planned in Milam County

Robert M Haddox 50 died Monday at 11 a m in Hearne from a heart attack and was buried Tuesday in Oak Hill Cemetery Cameron with full military honors. He served in World War I Medical Corps of the 36th Division and belonged to Hearne Legion Post. He was a barber and married in Cameron on April 4 1923 to Lois Weems. they lived in Hearne 21 years. Surviving are his widow a sister and two brothers.

Funeral for J. W. Wilkerson Held in Cameron
J. W. Wilkerson 77 died in the Confederate Home at Austin and funeral services were set for 10 a.m. Friday at Green Funeral Home in Cameron. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Survivors include two sons Howard Wilkerson of San Antonio and J. H. Wilkerson of Hanford Washington, and daughter Mrs Ray Robison of Cameron. News of his death was announced by Will Vaughan, Deputy Sheriff.
