Burglary defendant given suspended sentence in district court
R. F. Harlan, a Black man, was found guilty of burglarizing the J. A. Peel store in Port Sullivan on June 16 and received a five year sentence suspended. Two co defendants were to be tried later. Mrs. W. B. Thomas of Rogers visited relatives in Cameron on Monday.

Funeral Services For Le Anderson Held Here Tuesday
Le Anderson died in San Antonio on Sunday morning after a few days illness. His body was brought to Cameron for services at First Methodist Church with Rev. Lehmberg and Rev. Connerly officiating. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery followed. He was born in Houston in 1806 and married Corinne Majors in Cameron. A Coca Cola executive, he had been with the company over ten years and had recently been transferred to San Antonio.
