Mrs Pauline Eatman of Kansas City directs the musical comedy drama Mystery At Midnight to be presented October 18 and 19 in the Cameron High School auditorium. Proceeds go to the American Legion Community Chest fund. A Cameron schools popularity contest awards a cup to top boy and girl citizen based on Americanism with votes at 4 p m Thursday. Dorothy Richter Named Yee High School Sweetheart
Dorothy Richter has been elected land Sweetheart for the year at Yee High School after ballots were counted on Saturday night. She received 26,251 votes while Ida Vogelsang tallied 11,379 and Bernice Humbles 8,825. Dorothy is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Richter and a popular Yoe High student.

B Parnell Buried in Cameron Monday
J B Parnell 46 died at his Cameron home on Sunday October 8 after months of illness. A former Durango worker and Dallas salesman he once served briefly as deputy sheriff. Funeral services were held Monday at 5 30 pm at his family residence with Rev W M Cloyd delivering the sermon. Interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery under Green Funeral Home. Knights of Pythias conducted grave rites. Survived by his widow three brothers two sisters and other relatives.

Cameron citizens anticipate a weekend carnival with a 4 p.m. Friday opening between Cameron Haigh Corp and Community Gas Co. A pet parade at 7 p.m. Friday features cats dogs and birds. Jefferson White Elected to Phi Beta Kappa at Rice Institute
Jefferson White senior at Rice Institute was named to Phi Beta Kappa, one of fifteen upperclassmen chosen for scholarly excellence.
