Ballot Printing Error For Milam Areans In Waco
Nearly two tons of general election ballots arrived at the Mc Lennan County clerk's office and all 88 900 of them are scrap paper after a printer error left out Grant Jones from the list. The county will have new ballots printed at no extra cost and the first batch will be sold to a waste paper company. Temple City considers doubling its gross receipts tax on Southwestern Bell Telephone Co, which paid about 44 000 last year.

A bus load of volunteers from Georgia supporting Democratic candidate Jimmy Carter will tour Cameron and Rockdale this week. They arrive Cameron mall 11 a.m. Monday and stop in Rockdale at 1 45 p.m. Monday before staying in Cameron until 1 p.m. Wednesday then moving to Rosebud. Jury Awards 3306 In Damage Suit Over Assault
Bartley band director Jerry Bartley received 3306.90 in damages from a six man six woman jury in 20th District Court. Edison and Carroll Fikes of Cameron were accused of inflicting bodily injury at Bartley’s home on October 10, 1975. The verdict included 556.90 for pain and medical costs and 2750.00 in exemplary damages.
