Milam County Attends 1969 Texas Home Demonstration Meet
About 800 attended the Texas Home Demonstration Association meeting in Dallas. Milam County was represented by Mrs. Joe Brown and others from Tracy-Duncan and New Salem clubs. Resolutions increased TH scholarships to six and approved a historical marker for Milam County in memory of Edna Triggs. Officials from A&M University and UT were among speakers.

George C Black 9 percent man dies in nursing home
George C Black born January 3, 1875 in Madison County Alabama died September at a local nursing home after a long illness. He lived near Cameron most of his life was a retired farmer. Funeral services were held in Cameron with burial at Liberty Community Cemetery. Survived by four sons and one daughter with seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Green's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
