Polio Patient in Waco Dies or Remains Critically Ill
Gilbert Boehme, a polio patient at the infantile paralysis hospital in Waco, was described as very grave by Dr. Herbert E. Riggs. He remains in an iron lung and badly paralyzed as of November 12 report. Boehme, formerly employed at Burkes-Howard Co in Cameron, was admitted last week.

Man Sells Stolen Chevrolet in Rockdale for 1900
Sheriff Carl Black hunted Louis J. Gunner after a fake ownership certificate allowed W. P. Hogan of Rockdale to buy a stolen Chevrolet for 1900. The car, stolen from Burton Rollins in Irving, was used nearby on Friday night. Gunner fled Rockdale as police link him to a Dallas car theft ring with 20 to 30 vehicles reported stolen recently.

Body of World War II Veteran Wilburn McKay Due Here Thursday
The body of Pfc. Wilburn Dennis McKay, a World War II casualty, will arrive in Cameron on Thursday November 18. Funeral services are planned at the Green Funeral Home chapel in Cameron with Rev. Hall officiating, followed by interment in Rice Cemetery with military rites. McKay, son of Mrs. Minnie Baker, joined the service May 9 1942 at age 24, served with Company FE 175th Infantry, and was killed in France June 12 1944. His remains were buried in the U S military cemetery at La Cambe France as confirmed by War Department correspondence. Surviving are his mother and two brothers Lilburn McKay and Cecil Baker.
