Bloodmobile Visit Set for Cameron on November 23
The Red Cross bloodmobile comes to Cameron on Wednesday November 23 from noon to 6 p m. at the Methodist Fellowship Hall to collect 70 pints of blood. Richard Moseley Cameron blood chairman urges volunteers noting higher demand during Thanksgiving and Christmas travel. Milam County has met quotas in recent visits but a definite pint total is required to ensure blood availability.

Expert To Speak To Faculty Here On Counseling
Supt. C. D. Holmes of the Vanderbilt Independent School District will meet Cameron Public Schools faculty at 4 p.m. Monday in Ben Milam cafeteria. Vanderbilt schools pioneered a faculty centered guidance program and have had one since 1953. Holmes is a Texas authority whose program is a model for others. Cameron Supt. Earl Knebel invites interested parents and citizens to attend. Prof. E. V. Walton of Texas A&M, teaching a guidance course, helped schedule Holmes. Knebel says interested people may still enroll in Walton's course.

Graveside services were held for James Alan Barron 17 days old at Oak Hill Cemetery. He died in Hillcrest hospital Waco. Rev Aubrey Russell officiated with marek Burns Funeral Home directing. Survivors include his parents grandparents and brother John Earl Barron.

Santa Parade Set Dec 8 In Cameron
Cameron officials announce a Santa Parade on December 8. The Cameron Housing Authority releases the 1960 fiscal year operating figures showing monthly income per unit of 17.44 with vacancies, collection losses of 105.97, and 50 units paying 883.56 in lieu of taxes to the City. Total payments since July 1958 amount to 2068.59. The authority sets aside 10 percent of rent for city funds. Assets total 549177.50 with land and equipment valued at 532358.18 and liabilities at 519403.60. Surplus stands at 29773.90. Directors include Caperton, Curtis, Hannon, Kunz, Liebman. George McGehee is executive director.

Cameron to Stage Christmas Parade December 8
Cameron Chamber expects a record turnout for the annual Christmas parade at 4 p.m. on December 8 in downtown Cameron led by Santa Claus who will meet Milam County youngsters after the procession. About 50 floats and units are planned with cash prizes for the top four entries and merchant support for December Thursday hours.

Collision Causes 150 Loss at Bowie and Sixth Streets
A 6:30 a m crash on November 9 at the Bowie Street intersection caused about 150 damage to two cars. Napoleon Ellison, 19, of 902 Rusk, and Elmo Manners, 28, of 811 W Gillis, were the drivers in the only accident in the past eight days.

Cameron School Board approves heater and desks purchase
The Cameron School Board bought a heater for C. J. Thomas School and 35 desk chairs for Ada Henderson School. They hired Otto Schulz to fill a temporary vacancy and approved library books, science references, a later daily start, earlier bus pickup, band letter jackets, and basket rack improvements at Yoe Gymnasium.
