Auditions for The Sound of Music will be held at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Williams Civic Center in Cameron. San Lorenz will direct the summer production to be staged Aug 1, 2, 7 and 8 at the Performing Arts Center. Rehearsals run Monday through Thursday evenings starting at 7 p.m. The cast lists many roles including four men, multiple girls and boys, nuns, and townsfolk. LULAC Organizing Council in Cameron Holds Meetings
The Cameron LULAC council held an April 26 organizational meeting at Simon George Hall with State Director Joey Cardenas and other officials present. Officers were elected May 17 at Carrasco's Restaurant, including Elva Vargas as vice president and Patricia Vargas as treasurer, with plans to fund national dues and scholarships.
