Trio Charged in Marijuana Crop Found Along Texas Roadside
Three Austin men David Manly Elliott 20 Walter Homer Snow Jr 21 and Fredrick Karl Callaway 21 were charged in Justice of Pearce Leonard Allen's court in Rockdale with growing marijuana along County Kount 496 seven miles from Thorndale. About ten plots of plants were found Sunday night and a larger plot with 64 plants Tuesday. The men were arrested in Austin and released on bond. Police sprayed the area to destroy seeds and sprouts. The plants ranged up to 18 inches tall and showed jagged five to seven leaf clusters.
