Clothing drive for Europe relief by American Red Cross
The American Red Cross seeks 10 000 tons of clothing shoes bedding with 1000 tons allotted to the Southwestern Division. A collection campaign is set for March 24 31 to raise twice last year’s Belgians relief. Millions displaced across Europe face textile shortages as factories failed and factories relocated. the drive will supply 1 000 000 garments monthly and aid devastated nations.

Cameron Fire Department Saves Feed From Barn Fire
Jeff T. Nesbitt reported his barn containing about 1200 dollars in corn and similar hay value was afire five miles from Cameron. Fire Chief Monta Thomas and six volunteers arrived in eleven minutes using the big auto truck and intake hose to save most of the feed. Nesbitt presented a fifty dollar donation and praised the department.

Ardway Refused Bailey Court Trial Remand Without Bail
The examining trial of Will Ardway for the killing of Albert Greenles in Baileyville, county, was held in Cameron. Three state witnesses testified. Ardway did not take the stand and was remanded to jail without bail pending grand jury action set for May 5. Prosecution by Roy Baskin and A. J. Lewis. defense by Robt. M. Lyles.
