Milam 4-H events open for sign ups and camp details
Milam County 4-Hers collected 160 pounds of can tabs for Ronald McDonald House in Temple on Wednesday March 18. District Roundup and Share the Fun in Waco on May 2 still has slots for sign ups with April 17 deadline. Extension Office handles registrations and info. County 4-H Camp 2009 runs July 10 12 at Lakeview Methodist Camp Palestine for ages 8 18 with $115 youth $90 adults and June 5 deadline. Teen leaders sought via email to Eri ca at TAMU dot edu. Milam Shooting Sports set practice dates April 5 26 May 3 at New Salem Building Rockdale 2 pm. Training for record books rescheduled to April 20. T shirts to Sew Much Comfort collected via Extension Office. Lamb and goat tag orders due April 13 for State Fair of Texas at $10 each. Extension Office contacts for details.

Milam County Junior Livestock Show Association begins events across Thursday March 2 to Saturday March 28. Activities include arrivals weigh-ins and judging for market animals breeding stock rabbits goats beef heifers swine lambs turkey and broilers with a buyers dinner and premium livestock sale to close the event.
