On Monday March 19 Cameron Yeomen start spring football under new athletic director Leo Jackson of Toho ka. Jackson arrives Sunday with superintendent’s son Billy Hanes to join and supervise practice. Over 50 players report including 16 ends and 29 with prior experience. The forty second annual report by Southwestern Life Insurance Company shows insurance in force at year end 1944 rising to 181 718 273 and assets totaling 108 040 511. The company invested over 50 million in US government bonds since Pearl Harbor and expanded pension plans in Texas with underwriting on more than 80 of 104 plans. Death claims for armed forces totaled 474 858, with 65 500 in force on missing in action and 25 000 for prisoners of war.
