A large Cotton Festival in Gastonia showcases an elaborate fashion show with 70 Southern models. Dr. W H Frazer and Dr. David R. Coker spoke as part of the Wear Cotton campaign organized by the Gastonia Woman's Club with national textile groups. About 10,000 letters were sent to Southern states urging cotton use. The case of W. B. Denson versus Texas Power and Light Company was called for trial Monday morning. Attorneys Winbourne Pearce of Temple and W. G. Gillis for Denson, and Dan Moody with Senator Wood for Texas Power & Light. Jury list includes H. M. Luckey, John Dueser, Bernice Charles, G. Yeager, J. F. Rose, H. H. Smith, O. H. Denker, J. L. Daniels, H. A. Fatheree, T. J. Cooper, Earl Leach, C. P. Robinson.
James M. Tongate district office manager for the Texas Cotton Co Operative Association will leave Cameron on March 5 to umpire professional baseball in the Western League. His successor is to arrive this week as the office stays open. Tongate will begin with Southwestern Conference games and exhibition Texas League duties for Galveston before joining the Western Association season. He will return to Cameron after the season ends. He thanks Cameron and Milam County citizens for support and urges continued cooperation with the Federal Farm Board and the Texas Cotton Co operative Association.
