Lone Evangel Pfafenberger of Dallas will lead song service while night meetings occur on the church lawn and day services in nearby churches. A 3 pm July 8 Quarterly Conference will unite Cameron Maysfield and Buckholts charges with all officials invited.
Cameron hosts a city park parade at 8 30 AM led by Grand Marshal Leo Laake with prizes for best decorated cars. Community singing led by Miss Nell DuBois, two bands, and a large barbecue with hundreds of pounds of meat prepared in Cameron. Volunteers solicit pies cakes and potato salad while formal races and a baseball game against Caldwell attract crowds.

Bynum and Ferguson complete a fifteen barrel well on the Niehaus 100 acre lease in Minerva. Wallace and partners bail out their Watson farm well, projecting at least 15 barrels per day. Dallas via Waco has a detour. avoid Golenda route through Rosebud Chilton or Mooreville. Houston via Hearne and Amarillo via Temple Brownwood are good. Tourist traffic high as heat bears down.
Cameron announces a large community event next Tuesday July 8 featuring a flag raising parade band concert and community gathering. Highlights include a grand barbecue with vast quantities of food and drink, a firemen reel race, water fight and football game plus a final grand dance under the Henne Meyer building lighting. Dr. C. Weaver of Houston, Superintendent of Home Missions in Brezas Presbytery, traveled from Calvert to Cameron last Saturday for a revival service at the Presbyterian church. He pastored the local church 24 years and now leads a meeting in Calvert, joined by his wife, a song director, and a sister from the Calvert church.
Sheriff Rogers and deputies executed three whisky raids last Friday near Marak seizing gallons of liquor mash and three stills with one man arrested each raid. A second raid Friday near Burlington netted two men jailed. still and mash were confiscated and the men formed bands.
Mrs. R. P. Jeter and her sons have returned from a two week outing spent at Corpus.
