Silas Humbles age 81 a former Cameron barber of 52 years died Sunday at Saint Edward Hospital after illness. He was born June 9 1873 in Summerset Kentucky and lived in Cameron since age sixteen. Centennial Program Held Sunday At San Gabriel Church
The San Gabriel Christian Church observed its centennial on Sunday June 20 starting at 10 a.m. Rev Newton Robinson, once at San Gabriel and now leading Amarillo Christian Church, gave the morning message. Lunch followed at noon. Bar Bombed Saturday No Injuries Reported
The south part of Cameron experienced a bombing at Bill's Place bar on South Central at 10 10 p m Saturday. Bill Baird the owner said no one was hurt and most patrons stayed calm as deputies and local police with Texas Rangers investigated the blast.
