The Yee High Auditorium will host an evening show with Knox the Marimba solo, band numbers, male quartet pieces, and Pinto School of Dancing performances.

St Monies Catholic church will be solemnly dedicated by Bishop C K Byrne of Galveston on Wednesday morning June 27. Rev J B Murphy will preach the sermon and a dinner will be served under the shade of the trees at the church after the service. The new church rises on the ashes of the 1927 burnt building and is praised for its design. Fr Apel, pastor, receives credit for the parish’s progress.
Clarence Copus of Kennedy now lives in Karnes County where he works as engine man in the G. H and S. A. railroad yards and serves as a deputy constable. He is visiting Cameron with family and praises the Cameron Herald, saying it is the best paper in the world.
Joyce Cox returned from Harvard University where he earned the Doctor of Juridical Science, Harvard's highest law degree. A Cameron native, Cox previously excelled at the University of Lexas Law School and Cam eron medical studies, later practicing law and gaining statewide debating honors.
A Milam County political gathering is planned at Ss P ds T Hall Buckholts on July 2. The picnic starts at 10 a m with talks from all candidates beginning at 2 p m to let voters hear each contender and support benefits to Sokol. All invited.
Little Luie Turner visits his aunt Mrs. John Henry Thomas in Gause. Mr and Mrs T V Adams of Buckholts attend the Chautauqua in Cameron this week.
About three hundred people from rural communities attended the Rally Day exercises in City Park despite heavy rains. W G Gillis gave the welcome, with Johnson and Miss Juanita Sprott discussing farm problems and household finances. Miss Mar sdell Kirk won class 1 in the clothing contest. Miss Carrie Robinson won class 2. 4 H Club members earned trips to the College Station short course. Ice cream and sodas were served before a guest show.
The Hon. O L Kidd of Cameron will fill the pulpit at Walker s Creek Sunday morning at eleven. He is described as a forceful speaker and fine Christian man. A large crowd is hoped for. At night Joe Rowland will lead the Cameron B Y P U program.
Frank Hefley of Anadarko Oklahoma a longtime city marshal visits Cameron to greet brothers Hubert and Sam Hefley. He recalls work as a peace officer in the southwest befriending figures like Al Jennings Bat Masterson Bill Tilghman and recounts encounters with Belle Starr and Henry Starr in the early Oklahoma days. He plans several days of visits and storytelling.
Joe Kostelecky, 50, died after arriving at Cameron hospital from carbolic acid poisoning. A note to his wife and children described a personal crisis and intent to end his life. An inquest by Justice of the Peace Ed F. English ruled death by voluntary ingestion of poison.
A. Cole, former county missionary and current pastor of the First Baptist Church at Richmond Fort Bend, will preach at the Baptist church in Cameron Sunday morning. Cole moved to Richmond to accept the pastorate and is a respected preacher with many Cameron friends who will attend. He notified the pulpit committee of his acceptance of the invitation.
Joe Mohler Jr arrived in Schnec tady New York Sunday after a three week visit with his mother Mrs Joe Mohler. He is employed by the General Electric Company.
Mrs John Denson visited Bran chville on Thursday of this week in a local social note.
Fort Worth candidate Louis J. Wardlaw spoke to over 2000 at the courthouse lawn praising farmers and lawyers while denouncing Moody era spending. He urged highway election by people, repeal of auto registration tax, and criticized utility influence in schools. Parma's Pioneer Band provided music.
The Little Theater presents Lena Rivers at Knights of Columbus Hall on Wednesday June 27. Joe Lindle sponsors this Cameron premier with a local cast including Long Rivers Nichols Mrs. Lindle Livingston Christine Kubecka Graham Mary Richter Nancy Seovardyte Lydia Marek Howard Belmont Pete Mileale Henry Graham Aug King John Livingston Alfons Sutter John Slarm Albert Ondrej Uncle Billy Jimil Hollag Miss Cornelia Gini heads to Austin for a two or three week revival.
The Kinrights of American Protestantism in its national convention endorses Senator J. Thomas Heflin of Alabama for the Democratic presidential nomination. The group, formerly Independent Klan of America, gathers about two hundred delegates led by Samuel Demenderfer with national HQ in Mini Ind. Fagine.
