Business Women In Meeting Tuesday At Wayside Inn
The Business and Professional Women's Club held a picnic like meeting at Wayside Inn on the camp grounds at seven thirty. Circle Two served fried chicken potato salad pickles dressed eggs perminto sandwiches bread and butter sandwiches ice tea ice cream and cake. The group voted thanks to Mesdames H N Tate R B Rylander W P McCall Hugo mass casualty event and the Tate twins. The president Miss Rose Rischar opened the meeting and letters from committees discussed the state meeting at Abilene July 5 6 7 and the national meeting in New Orleans July 10 14. A nominating committee was formed and Wayside Inn manager Elwood Cammer offered the grounds free for future meetings. The club voted to loan 1754 to a Ben Arnold student for a business course in Fort Worth. Refreshments for next meeting were arranged and several members plus guests attended, including Mrs Monta Montgomery and others from nearby towns.

Mrs Laura Hunt laid to rest in Caldwell
Mrs Laura B Hunt widow of Ben B Hunt of Caldwell died Thursday night at 10 30 in Cameron after a brief illness. Surviving are six children including Mrs Helen Carroll of San Antonio and Mrs Henry Hefley of Cameron. Funeral conducted by Rev J P Love at the Hefley home and burial at Caldwell beside her mother and four children with the Caldwell Symphony Orchestra and church quartet performing.

Two sisters in fatal accident near Cameron
Virginia Weems, seven, survived with injuries after a car collision on Buckholts Cameron road. Her sister Margie died minutes after the crash while Margie’s family and others provided aid. Funeral services for Margie held at First Methodist Church with interment at Oak Wilt cemetery.
