Adeline Caldwell Honored in San Antonio Service

Lieut John B Atkins, a Cameron veteran who joined the army in 1915, receives the Croix de Guerre by mail. He served on the Mexican border with the 86th Division and later with the 36th Division in France, returning home recently after a long period of active service.

Rainfall Reaches 3.45 Inches as Little River Rises
Rainfall of 3.45 inches drenched Cameron from Sunday morning to Monday evening. Little River rose to the season’s peak with minor backwater causing little crop damage. By morning the river had receded six inches from last night, ending the danger. Cameron’s season rainfall since October totals 33.77 inches.
