Miss Nell Mayes Injured In Tuesday Traffic Crash
Miss Nell Mayes sustained a severe cut behind the right ear when the car she rode in collided with a Buckholts driver on East First Street at North Fannin Avenue Tuesday at 11 15 am. She was taken to Newton Memorial Hospital for treatment as Mrs Slocomb’s car and a truck were damaged. the other driver was deemed at fault and ordered to pay for Slocomb’s car damage.

Child Dies of Encephalitis Says Local Doctor

Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Winn 79 were held at 10 a m Tuesday at Marek Burns Funeral Home Cameron. She died Monday June 14 in St Edwards Hospital after a short illness. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. She was a Robertson county native who moved to Milam county at 13 and had resided there since.
