Tomato Prices Rise At Local Market

Tomato growers reported smiles as prices held around 10 cents a pound with No 1 and No 2 varieties at 10c and 5c respectively. The market rebounded from opening, fetching 9 to 10c per pound. ripe No 1 tomatoes also 10c. Crop is short but quality good. farmers earned about $6 per bushel on Monday and Tuesday.

Mrs. John Crawford, 91, died Tuesday at her son T. A. Crawford's Cameron home. Born December 7, 1856 in Monroe County Kentucky, she moved to Texas in early days.
