Miss Mina Clark Buried After Rio Rico Fatality
Miss Mina E Clark died from an accidental gunshot in Rio Rico Mexico on June 7 1931. She was brought to Cameron and buried at Oak Hill Cemetery after funeral services at First Methodist Church conducted by Rev C A Lehmberg. She had been manager of the Western Union office in La Feria and was a devout church member with many mourners.

Rats to be banished from Cameron business houses
Cameron Commercial Club sponsors a project with George Banzhaf and Don A. Spencer to remove rats from local firms. Spencer will start in July assisting Banzhaf on pest control for gophers ants crows and other pests across the county. Firms already signed include Palace of Sweets New Cameron Drug Co and Cameron Fruit Co among others.

W T Hurt 80 longtime Milam county resident died at his Lexington home in Lee county Sunday night May 31 1931 after illness. Funeral held Monday June 1 at 4 pm at Lexington church with Baptist and Methodist ministers officiating. Interment in Lexington cemetery. Survived by daughter Mrs George McGregor Lexington three grandchildren one great grandchild. He was an uncle of Mr Raymond Beard of Cameron.
