McDonald Wins Milam County Runoff in Democratic Primary

W T McDonald carried Milam in the Democratic Primary runoff for the Criminal Appeals Court seat defeating incumbent Lloyd W Davidson by 362 to 192. Total 554 votes, with heavy turnout in Cameron and Rockdale boxes. Bowmer led first round in Milam and Bell Counties. Davidson seeks a second term on the state court.

Council Approves Move To Install 18th St Ditch

The Cameron City Council approved drainage ditch installation on 18th Street to relieve flooding and mosquito breeding sites near St. Edwards Hospital. Newton Memorial Hospital faces loss without wider support
