Andrew Jackson Raymond 2&3, a Cameron pioneer and retired carpenter, died suddenly at his home at 5 p m Saturday May 27 1944 after years of declining health. Born January 8 1861 in Alton Illinois he lived in Cameron for 60 years and left a lasting mark on early homes he helped build through his skilled craft.

Allied Infantry Reach Rome as They Break Through Line

Funeral services for John Dee William Young 69 father of Yee High coach Dick Young were held at Southerland McCammon Funeral Home Corsicana at 2 p m Tuesday May 29 1944. Interment was in Hamilton Cemetery near Corsicana. Surviving widow and two children J R Young Cameron and Mrs Groves Dallas. Two brothers Warren Richland and J T Young Wichita Falls and one sister Mrs Barney Jones Corsicana. The body lay at Marek Burney Funeral Home Cameron until 10 a m Tuesday.
