Sheriff Clears Rash of Burglaries in Milam County
Milam County Sheriff Leroy Broadus says the department has cleared a series of burglaries since January with three men in custody on burglary charges. Fatal Pickup Plunges Into Creek Bed Near Cameron
Funeral held in Cameron for Griffin Burnett 52 who died in a one vehicle crash on Milam County Road 230 near Cameron. Burnett was found in his pickup by a passerby several hours after the Sunday dawn crash. He was a World War II veteran and Industrial Generating Co. employee with survivors including parents a son two daughters and several siblings. Burial followed at Marlow Cemetery with First Presbyterian Church rites.
