Butler Is Freed In Milam County Murder Case
Not guilty was the verdict in the Nolan Butler murder trial. Butler, 18, of Cameron, was accused of killing G. C Gaines, 21, of Val Verde on March 18, 1937. The jury deliberated from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon. Butler was an outstanding Yee High School graduate and worked to defray expenses during Cameron schooling. Witnesses listed include numerous Bell and Val Verde county residents and doctors.

Drunk Driver in Wichita Falls Receives Suspended Sentence
F C Sellers of Wichita Falls pleaded guilty in District Court to driving an automobile while intoxicated. He received a two year suspended sentence and his driver's license was revoked. He is prohibited from driving any motor vehicle on state highways for six months.
