Stonewall Jackson Day Celebration at Local School
The United Daughters of the Confederacy held a Monday session in a public school building to mark Stonewall Jackson Day. The Blue Bonnet Glee Club sang Bonnie Blue Flag after an invocation by Dr. W A Gillon, followed by a Jackson characteristics address by W G Gillis, a Georgia Volunteer performance, and a Nellie was a Lady duet by Brougher and Bonds. Mrs W A Gillon presided and reported a successful event.

Parting Honors to Cameron Guest in Marathon Texas
Mrs. Vernon McIntyre received a Bridge Party sendoff hosted by her sister Mrs. Rush Thomas on the eve of her return to Marathon Texas. The event gathered the Bridge Club with around three tables and was described as a delightful social affair. H. B. Pinkerton arrived from the Salty community with sixteen bales of cotton, ginned by Thorn dale Gin and Compress Co., sold to W. Phillips for 21 dollars per ton. much of the cotton was picked months ago but delayed by bad roads.

Cotton Loan Fund Extension Denied by Federal Reserve

Tucker Attends District Agents Convention in Dallas
J M Tucker returned from a two day convention of District Agents for Curtis Publishing Company at the Adolphus Hotel Dallas. About 125 delegates from Texas Oklahoma Arkansas and Louisiana attended with four Superintendents of Agencies and six Home Office staff from Philadelphia. The program included entertainment such as theatre parties and a sight seeing tour. Mr Tucker represents Curtis Publishing in Cameron. Dc C Donaldson born Killeen Texas December 3 1884 died near Cameron Elm Ridge January 20 1915. He married Angie Alexander and left six children and his mother. He was nine years a loyal member of W O W Camp 738 Yarrellton Texas. Evans of Millam County road camp visited Cameron Saturday.
