Thrall oil field prospectors plan deep well at Thrall

Dr T D Roundtree of Rockdale visited Taylor on business and outlined plans by Rockdale investors to drill a twenty five hundred foot well in the Thrall area. A Johnson rotary drill will be used with an experienced Corsicana driller, aiming to evaluate undeveloped oil potential after shallow tests showed surface oil. Local explorers believe oil may lie beneath the surface despite previous saltwater or blank results.
