Former Produce House Manager Indicted for Embezzlement
Arthur Hodde, once manager of the Peter Company produce house, was indicted on seven counts of embezzlement by a Grand Jury that handed up nine indictments. The alleged theft totals about nine thousand dollars. Deputy Sheriff Carl C Black will arrest Hodde and return him for trial. The Peter Company, insured, reports no loss.

J B Kreusch Dies in St Louis After Illness
J B Kreusch died at his home in St Louis Missouri at 1 am Monday February 7 1944 after a long illness. Surviving are his widow formerly Miss Ida Woolley of Cameron and sisters Miss Leila M Woolley and Mrs Wilna Ramsour of Cameron. Funeral services were held in St Louis on Tuesday. Kreusch was a former resident of Temple.

Local and federal officers hunted for clues after a Milano post office safe was blasted Monday night and several hundred dollars in stamps disappeared. Money orders and bonds were untouched, about $40 cash and a small check taken. Deputy Carl C. Black led the Milano probe. earlier Rockdale theatre robbery reportedly netted $150. No arrests.
