Fifteen Texas Buildings Added To National Register
Fifteen Texas buildings have been accepted for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places as of mid December. The Restoration Department credits high quality nominations and notes all state owned structures are automatically listed. Selected Texas sites include Jefferson area houses and districts in Galveston, the Driskill Hotel in Austin, the U S Arsenal in San Antonio, and Ursuline Academy. The register aims to prevent demolition when federal funds are involved.
