Ernest Bayer, a 195 pound Yoe High School back, signed a four year letter of intent with Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Cameron American Legion Post prepares for about 159 delegates at the 7th American Legion District Convention in April. A special Edwin Hardy Post No 9 meeting is set for 7 30 p m on Wednesday February 21 to outline the program. Services Held Here Monday For Mrs R A Triggs
Funeral services for Mrs. R. A. Triggs Sr. 77, were held Monday afternoon. Born October 26, 1884 in Franklin she died February 10 in a Temple hospital after living most of her life in Cameron. She belonged to the First Methodist Church with Rev Jewell Strong officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery. Survived by husband R. A. Triggs Sr. of Cameron two sons Albert Triggs of Lubbock and George Triggs of Sharp one sister Miss Clara Thomas of Cameron, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Schiller Named C of C President At Board Meeting
E. O. Schiller Jr was elected president of the Cameron Chamber of Commerce at the board meeting. He succeeds Richard Williams who served as president in 1961. O. B Harden and Jack Prescott were named first and second vice presidents. Nine Grass Fires Reported in Milam County
Milam County saw nine grass fire calls last week answered by the Cameron Fire Department. One blaze near Jones Prairie scorched about 12 acres before containment. Fire Marshal John Eanes blamed careless cigarette and match disposal and trash burning for most of the incidents.
