Cameron Library Receives 3 Million Book Grant
The Cameron Library Board reviewed acceptance of a 3 009 grant from the Texas State Library for book purchases. A committee led by Mrs. Frank Perrin will increase acquisitions to about 2 000 volumes this year. The library aims to spend roughly 4 000 more on books from 1966 building funds, bringing total volumes to around 4 600 after a May 1966 opening, as librarian Miss Louise Jamison noted. The board also discussed traffic signs for the library entrance and plans for a northwest corner sign. A landscaping project funded by site-improvement money continues through winter, while Cameron Schools students tour the library.
