Rotary program notes from Cameron Weekly meeting describe guest invitation drive for newcomers and a June convention. John Copley delayed a talk to February 8 with Hon. Jack Lewis, and a new attendance notification rule imposes a 50c meal penalty for absence after 10 am Wednesday.
The program for Wednesday features Col Homer Garrison director of Public Safety Austin presiding with his Bureau of Identification Narcotics division. President J B White urges members to bring a peace officer guest and promote a safer community. Miss Ida Byrd Mayfield cannot attend due to teaching duties but the club plans a guest sweetheart to lead music during term with Mayfield attending through summer. Other news from Yarrellton reports local visits and a Ruth Lott bridal shower hosted by Mrs Smith Barrett on January 27.
The annual Cham ber of Commerce banquet will be held on Tuesday evening, March 14.
