Two Years Lucio Casarez Convicted on Marijuana Charge

Lucio Casarez was convicted by a district court jury on possessing marijuana and accepted a two year sentence without appeal. Defense was provided by Ed Gunn of Rockdale. Lions Praised For Work At Cameron Lions Club Movie

Roosevelt Birthday Ball Celebrant Dies in Burlington

William Pogach a 25 year old Burlington farm youth collapsed and died Monday night at a Roosevelt birthday ball in Burlington. An inquest found death due to a heart attack. family said he had prior attacks but saw no doctor. He died as guests left the hall while funds were raised for the Warm Springs Foundation. funeral was at St. Michael’s Church.
