James Baskin of Cameron Promoted to Lieutenant in 90th Division
James D Baskin son of the late B J Baskin and Mrs Baskin served with the 90th Division in World War I. He began training May 8 1917 at Leon Springs and received his commission August 15 1917. He served at Camp Travis in Co D 857th Infantry later in a machine gun unit, saw action in St Mihiel and other engagements, was gassed but recovered, and as of Armistice day was en route to Berlin as part of the Army of Occupation.
