The season launches Friday December 14 at 1 p.m. with eight teams in a winners and consolation bracket running through Saturday. J B Anderson of Waco will referee. FFA teacher reports planting 12 grass and 4 legume plots at the Cameron area airport on November 22. By December 8, grasses listed include mesquite Italian rye melitotious dudiva rescue and canary. legumes include white Dutch clover yellow flowering sweet clover and Madrid sweet clover. Milam county soldiers overseas in the army and navy have purchased FE Bonds totaling 19 700 credited to the county under Texas War Finance quotas issued by Nathan Adams director.
