A large Georgetown crowd gathered to confront McDonald Ham burgers officials over reports of removal of big oaks at the US 81 and Williams Dr intersection, but the meeting ended without the confrontation as the hamburger representatives did not attend. A Williamson County child died after a rattlesnake bite on a ranch near Leander, found with two bleeding fang marks and died at an Austin hospital.

The Cameron school board meets Monday at 7 30 p m to study policies and review resignations, reports, and the president s report. Buckholts trustees meet at 7 p m in the high school to discuss calendar revisions leaves of absence and tax collecting for 1978. Milam County Historical Commission will meet Tuesday December 13 at 10 30 a m at the museum. First Baptist Hosts Temple Civic Chorus in Cameron

The First Baptist Church in Cameron presents Temple Civic Chorus and Central Texas Area Orchestra on December 17 at 8 pm. Featuring 70 singers and 23 musicians directed by Larry Guess, the program includes Bach Magnificat and Handel Messiah with Corelli’s Christmas Concerto between works. Five soloists perform and the event is funded by the Alcoa Foundation with no admission charge.
