State finals eye Cameron site for Bulldogs game

D W Echols, a Brownwood area minister since 1962 and Abilene Christian College graduate, was named minister of the Church of Christ at 12th and N Central in Cameron. He and his wife Gegie and son Davey moved to Cameron last weekend and began work December 5. An area wide congregational singing open to the public will be held at 2 20 p m Sunday December 12.

Cey C. Arledge 73 died in a Houston hospital at 10 20 p m Monday. Funeral services were held 11 a m Wednesday at Marek Burns Funeral Home with Rev David Erskine officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Born July 6 1592 at Rockdale he lived in Cameron 40 years. Survivor s include wife Ruby of Cameron and sister Addie Thompson of Stanford. Pallbearers listed.

Burglars Break In at San Gabriel Grocery
Robbers broke into the William Stigall Grocery in San Gabriel on December 1 between 7:30 and 10:39 p.m. They forced a front door lock and escaped with cigars, ladies hose, and cosmetics valued at about $500, according to Sheriff Carl Black.

Fifteen youngsters from Cameron First Methodist Church will present a moving Christmas pageant titled The Night the World Remembers. Rev.
