Parade to Kick Off Yule Season in Cameron
The Cameron area opens its Christmas season with a 10 a.m. parade starting in front of First Baptist Church. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Lions clubs, it features schools, bands, floats, clowns, a Tri-City Cobra Motorcycle Club display, and Santa riding in a sleigh. Santa visits malls December 10 and 17. A post parade bazaar at the mall offers arts and crafts, food booths, and live entertainment starting at 10:30 with Yee Band, O. J. Thomas band, Ivory Sisters, and Mike Flores & Sons.

Rural customers face gas rate hike approved by commission

Planning Grant Approved For City Of Milano
Milano will receive about 12000 for the 701 Comprehensive Planning Assistance Grant from the Texas Department of Community Affairs to fund base mapping land use housing planning and environmental assessments. The city council accepted the grant in October and signed copies were returned to the department as it reviews the funds. The council also discussed leasing land from the United Methodist Church for temporary city offices.

Industry Pioneer Dies In Indiana
Frank M. G. Luecke 83 died Tuesday after a five month illness in a Warsaw convalescent home. He founded New Process Cheese Co. in Nixa Missouri and helped build a major milk processing operation. He worked for Wilson & Co. in Missouri Oklahoma and Indiana and held management posts at Cudahy Spada Cheese. Survivors include four sons nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorials to the American Cancer Society.
