Rogers Public Schools Complete Faculty for New Term

A full Rogers public school faculty was approved at an August 19 School Board meeting. New hires include Valeria Rosson English teacher, Travis Rosson math teacher and counselor, Winfred Bruton band instructor, Verna Linn first grade teacher, and Jewel Powell reassigned to high school English and social studies. Special Education staff unchanged. Title I roles filled by Bobbye Kuban development reading, Janice Jackson nurse, Ernestine L Powell librarian, Belvin RB. Thomas visiting teacher and tax assessor. Milam County approves 1968 budget with raises and courthouse upgrades

County commissioners adopt a 667 118 31 budget for 1968 including salary increases for officials and courthouse interior improvements at Milam. Grandson Discovers Cameron Black Man Found Dead at Home

Jim Brown aged 65 was found deceased by his grandson at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at 806 Bark. Justice of the Peace Jesse Brock said Brown died around midnight Sunday, August 27, from a probable cardiac event. Services are pending at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home, Rockdale.
