Fall From Truck Injures Wayne Clark

John Wayne Clark a 12 year old son of Mr and Mrs J W Clark is in Newton Memorial Hospital with a skull fracture and serious injuries after falling from a moving truck about 5 p m Sunday. Witnesses say his hat blew off and he tried to recover it losing balance and tumbling from the vehicle while returning from Wilson Ledbetter Park pool. The physician said his condition is serious but he is expected to recover if no complications arise.

Bond Amendment Appears Tight in Milam County

Results from a Milam County special election show a close countywide vote on a 60 million dollar State Bond issue to aid the University of Texas and other state schools. Cameron precincts favored the measure. Precinct 22 and Precinct 1 in Cameron showed mixed results. The jury fund reallocation appears to have won a substantial majority.

Veterans Reinstate 24 GI Insurance Policies at Cameron VA

Since April 1 veterans of World War II have reinstated 24 GI insurance policies at the Cameron Veterans Administration office. The Waco VA region combined offices reinstated 918 policies totaling 5 602 500. Cameron VA renewals totaled 86 000.
