Thorn dale Trades Day draws 4000 with baby parade and fairs
Thorndale's third monthly Trades Day drew an estimated 4000 attendees. The baby parade along Main Street featured decorated cars and judged babies with cash prizes. Exhibits included hand embroidery, canned goods, quilts, and home products. Broncho riding and roping drew crowds, while sports saw Elgin defeat the Thorndale Champs 10 to 4. The day closed with the town mourning Sarah Elizabeth Elliott, a longtime resident.
