Chiropractic Aid Now Included In Compensation Law
The Texas Legislature approved an amendment to the Workmen's Compensation law allowing insurance companies to cover chiropractic services for back and spinal injuries starting August 26. Texas becomes the 39th state to recognize chiropractic care in workers compensation claims, with 50 to 75 percent of 1952 Texas claims involving back injuries and about 17 million dollars paid last year. The change also extends to government workers in municipalities.
