The County Board of Education approved merging Tyson School, Port Sullivan School, and Branchville School District into Branchville School District No. 64. Starving population in Forkland faces flood wreckage and hunger

In South Green county Alabama more than a thousand people in Forkland are starving after floods left sour green corn as the only food. Aid offers are limited and locals must cope as the Tombigbee and Black Warrior rivers flood the area. Crops are ruined and credit is gone, leaving farmers unable to feed both families and workers.
