The Cameron Herald will publish on Wednesdays each week to provide timely news and weekend ads. News must be in by Tuesday noon and ads as early as possible before noon Tuesday to ensure Thursday delivery on rural routes and better weekend service for advertisers.

Nurse Ruby Ellen Brown oversees Salk vaccine distribution to Milam County first and second graders under Dr John Bryson. The program reaches 930 students in 33 schools and includes broader duties from teaching to home visits for crippled children and assorted health services.
A. S. C. officials announced that 1,051.3 acres released by Milam County farmers will be allocated to those requesting extra acreage in late April. The final date for requests is April 29. About 10,000 farmers have applied but only 1,051 acres are available and no additional allocations are planned for this section.
