John Robert Gray Dies in New Mexico Football Injury
John Robert Gray aged 17 died at 3 30 a m Sunday at his home in Por tales New Mexico from a football injury. Will Vaughan the uncle was notified here and had just returned from New Mexico where he visited his nephew in the hospital. Funeral services were to be held there at 3 p m Monday with interment in the local cemetery. The grandfather of the deceased, a brother of Mr Vaughan here, was reared in this community.

Woodward Telephone Union Members Resign Over Tornado Orders
In Woodward Oklahoma the local Telephone Operators Union says 30 members resigned from NFTW after receiving orders to stay off work during the tornado emergency. NFTW and Southwestern and Oklahoma City officials denied substantiation while operators continued serving the city through the disaster. Four pickets were seen before the strike began April 7 and workers stayed to manage crippled connections after the storm.

Harrell Sr. Died in Waco Tuesday
E. O. Harrell Sr., father of Rev. E Q Harrell of First Presbyterian Church in Cameron, died Tuesday evening in Waco. He had lived there for years, and Rev. Harrell, who was in Temple for a church meeting, left for Waco and arrived at 4 p.m. Wednesday for interment in Waco.
