Milam County School Board votes to annex Marak Common School District to Cameron Independent School District effective September 1 1965. About 45 Marak students will transfer. Pageant Shows Milam County History Through Schoolers
More than 200 grade and junior high students performed in a Yee Campus Carnival pageant Tuesday night. The history segment traced Milam County from 1744 Spanish missions to 1846 property lines, delighting hundreds of adults despite a missing director credit for Mary Belle Patte.

New Trustees Take Oath Of Office At Cameron School Board
Two new trustees Coleman Duncum and Will Vogel took the oath of office and joined the Cameron school board as officers were elected. C R Roy Law was named president, Duncum vice president, and Forrest Sapp secretary. The board canvassed election returns and hired Theodore Balboa as custodian, accepted Wendell Kirk’s resignation as bus driver, and noted a workshop at Texas A&M University on May 3.
