Deadline For Vets to Start GI Bill Training July 25 1951
Veterans Administration issues a regulation setting July 25 1951 as the deadline for most veterans to begin GI Bill courses. Exceptions apply for those discharged after July 25, 1947 and for those enlisted under the Armed Forces Voluntary Recruitment Act. Those already in GI Bill training on July 25 may continue, but starting a new course after 1951 is not allowed. Training must be initiated by the 1951 date or four years after discharge, and completed by July 25, 1956.
