Milam Areans Youth Dies Suddenly Amid Senior Trip Preparations
Milam Areans student Mark Henderson, 18, died at 6 am at home while preparing for Lampasas High School’s senior class trip to Six Flags. An autopsy cited a heart condition. Rockdale voters narrowly rejected non binding school air conditioning in the April 2 election with 351 against and 309 in favor overall.

Planning Grant Approved For Thorndale Waste Project

Training Set For Pesticide Applicators In Milam County
Milam County Agent Bill McCutchen announces two certification training sessions for private applicators of restricted use pesticides this month. The April 11 session meets at 7 p.m. at Rockdale Vocational Agricultural classrooms, and April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Thorndale Vocational Agriculture building. Additional sessions are planned for Buckholts and Cameron. The program covers laws labels safety mixing calibration and pest damage identification and prepares attendees to apply for Texas Department of Agriculture certification.
